Hi! I’m Sarah Weaver and this is my beautiful, always evolving family! My husband, Josh, and I have been a part of the foster care community since May 2016 when we received our first placement of two brothers of which we later adopted along with their sister!

I have a huge heart for foster children and the families that choose to open their homes to modern day orphans in their most vulnerable moment in life which is why I started #ChristmasforFosters because it supports and meets the needs of local foster children and their foster families.

Back in 2017, I wanted to make sure that as many foster children as I could find sponsors for had the best Christmas ever. It started as a small sponsorship program for about 45 children and then snowballed into 96 children that first year. In the year of 2018, 187 children were sponsored and we gained media coverage to celebrate what our community did for these kiddos. In 2019, 204 children were sponsored as well and having our first international sponsor (all the way from Italy!).

We firmly believe that it takes a village to raise a child and by participating in this effort, you are becoming a part of that village by being joy givers to modern day orphans at Christmastime!
